Welcome to Vernon Township
Vernon Township, organized in 1818, is nestled in the southeastern part of Scioto County, Ohio. Originally part of Upper and Franklin Townships, it spans an area of 22,890 acres.
The township is bordered by Bloom Township to the north, Lawrence County and Bloom Township to the east, Lawrence County and Greene Township to the south, and Greene and Porter Townships to the west.

Vernon Township Cemetery
Located on Cemetery Rd. near Turkey Foot Rd., our cemetery is maintained by the township and overseen by Trustee Rickie D. Cartee. For cemetery lot sales, contact Trustee Cartee. For cemetery records, contact the fiscal officer.
Vernon Township Community Park
Situated at 4168 Turkey Foot Rd., the park offers recreational opportunities for residents. For more information, contact the township garage.
Vernon Volunteer Fire Department
